When the Muses Sing of Spring: April Boxwalla Beauty Review | MONASTERY

I’m playing catch-up on some overdue blog posts and this week I’m belated-ly bringing you my thoughts on Boxwalla’s April beauty box. I regret to inform you that one-time boxes aren’t available for this one, but if you’re interested in Monastery’s products anyway, this review may be of help in your purchasing conquests!

Themed “When the Muses Sing of Spring“, the April Beauty Box* showcases two full-size products from Monastery that deeply soothe and hydrate, gently renew, and brighten the skin. In it we received: Aloe Hyaluronic Moisture Boost ($79) a lightweight hydrating gel serum and XX Rose Glycolic Gel ($74) a 10% glycolic AHA exfoliating serum.

EMPTIES VOL. 3 – 5Yina, MŪN, Stark Skincare, Twelve Beauty

I’m back with my latest round of trash! Two rounds actually, but I’m splitting them into two posts (stay tuned for vol. 4 soon) for easier writing and reading. These are products I’ve used up over the course of the last year or so and I can say the ones in this round were particularly well loved. In January I created a spreadsheet to start keeping track of when I began and emptied new products, which I highly recommend to do for budgeting and figuring out how much you are spending on products in a calendar year. Products in this post were used up prior to creating the spreadsheet.

NATIVE Deodorant Review: Does It Really Work?

Awhile back (and I mean awhile back, perhaps years ago now?) I had tested out a mini version of Native’s coconut and vanilla deodorant that I found at Target in their travel section. I remember enjoying it for however many weeks I was using it, but that little sample was one of those products that somehow sinks to the bottom of a drawer of products and I forgot about it! A few months ago I saw that Walmart started selling Native and I was seeing it advertised everywhere and thought to myself how much I had enjoyed that sample I tested, so I bought a full size.

Native has created a line of natural deodorants that has a reputation of “actually working”, so it’s always interesting to try a much hyped product for yourself to see how it stands up against the claims. For the record, I have found a few other natural deodorants that do work for me, but I’ve found it helpful to rotate between a few working deodorants, rather than stick with the same one long term. I like that Native’s deodorants are available locally since they are sold at most Walmart and Target stores, and they are a bit more affordable than the luxe ones you can find online.

OSMIA ORGANICS Haul: Lip Doctor + Soap Samples!

This year I honored Earth Day by placing my first ever order with Osmia Organics! I happened to catch their Instagram stories where founder Sarah Villafranco mentioned they plant two trees for every order on Earth Day, upping their year-round practice of planting one tree for every order placed. It’s such a neat gesture and business practice and I thought I’d take the Earth Day opportunity and finally grab a few things I’ve been wanting to try.

In this mini haul I grabbed the fan favorite Lip Doctor lip balm and a few samples including their Purely Simple Face Cream, Black Clay Facial Soap, and Pumpkin Facial Soap. Osmia kindly included two additional samples of their Oh So Detox Soap and Adzuki Nourishing Mask.

EVERYDAY MINERALS Haul – Brushes, Blushes & More

It’s been a MINUTE (years, maybe?) since I last shared some makeup around these parts! I recently started using mineral foundation again (I always come back to my good old powders) which happened to make me feel nostalgic for Everyday Minerals – one of the first indie beauty brands I tried when I discovered the online indie/clean beauty space. I thought I’d see what’s going on in their store and I found a few new items to try as well as some classic blushes that I once owned.

Half of the items in this haul were actually free gifts, believe it or not. Right now they have a great gift offer – spend $20 and choose 4 free gifts, or spend $40 and choose 7 free gifts. They let you choose your free gifts from each category of product which is awesome.

I also just joined their referral program and I’m happy to share a great discount with you all – use my link to save 20% on all products in their store!
