I’ll just jump right in with the praise: the February Beauty Box* easily makes my top 3 favorites from Boxwalla! It’s that good, you guys. It’s that incredibly exciting (bi-monthly) time to share Boxwalla’s latest curation and I for one am happy to be reunited with Amly Botanicals, which I will dive into more below.
Themed “Moonlight & Silver Sleep“, this month’s box ($165 value) features two products that will help you slip into sweet nights of soothing bliss. There’s also an underlying theme of sweetness and softness that pairs well with the month of February. This box includes two full size products – Amly Botanicals newly launched Beauty Sleep Facial Mist, and MUN Skincare’s Aknari Brightening Youth Serum (which comes in a cute MUN travel pouch!) – both chock full of night-time beneficial ingredients to regenerate and nourish the skin.
What you need to know about Boxwalla: To put it simply, they like to fill boxes with things that MUST be experienced. Boxwalla is a bi-monthly subscription box service that showcases artists and artisans from around the world giving the subscriber a choice of four different interests to choose from: The Beauty Box, The Food Box, The Film Box, and The Book Box. Each box is curated with context in mind and with a story to be told, each one delivering a beautiful sensory experience. Green beauty lovers will appreciate that they have high standards when it comes to ingredients and that they actually use, love, and enjoy the products they feature. Boxwalla typically features 2-4 products including both full and generous deluxe travel-sizes. Their beauty box rings in at just $49.95 every other month, with each box valuing well over the price tag.
“Transform skin from lifeless to luminous with this all-in-one, glow-giving treatment serum.”
MŪN Skincare Aknari Brightening Youth Serum
Just as complex as it is simple, MUN’s Aknari anti-aging serum is made with just three ingredients designed to deliver a nutritious, luscious glow to the skin.
The “complex” part comes in the beneficial components that make up each oil in this serum. Here is what’s in it:
- Organic Prickly Pear Seed Oil. Also known as barbary fig oil. Rich in linoleic acid, phytosterols, and Vitamin E; Vitamin K and Zinc benefits; safe for acne-prone skin; anti-aging.
- Organic Cold-Pressed Argan Oil. High in ferulic acid and squalane, which extends the efficacy and potency of the ingredients in the serum. Rich in Vitamin E; anti-aging.
- Bulgarian Rose Essential Oil. Delivers the most aromatherapeutic rose scent and aids in absorption. Antibacterial; antioxidant rich, skin softening.
Since receiving this box I’ve been using 2 drops of Aknari (at night only) after applying Amly’s Beauty Sleep mist and moisturizer of choice. It’s the perfect oil that straddles that line between light-medium where it provides plentiful emollient moisture without feeling like it’s too much. It gives my skin major glow and it appears much softer and supple both after application and long after when I wake up in the morning. The rose scent is heavenly and calming which is just one aspect that makes this box true to its blissful night-time theme. Admittedly I wasn’t expecting much out of this oil serum at first, but it’s definitely exceeded my expectations and I’m blown away by its skin softening benefits (my fine lines caused by dryness disappear with this stuff!) You can also sense the high quality of this oil by its feel/texture and scent. It’s an amazing anti-ager, that’s for sure.
If you’re like me and you find the prospect of a travel pouch or bag gift equally as exciting as the product itself, you’re in for a treat! MUN’s founder kindly gifted us with a MUN travel pouch as seen above which is the perfect size for carrying Aknari and Beauty Sleep (and maybe a few more goodies) together.

“A restorative face mist with powerful ingredients to support natural healing sleep”
Amly Botanicals Beauty Sleep Silver Rich Facial Mist
Reunited with Amly Botanicals and it feeeeels so goooood! (You know the song!). If you were here last April, you might remember Amly’s first Boxwalla showcase in their April box that was all about Spring time hydration. Since then, Amly Botanicals launched a new mist – the Beauty Sleep mist – designed to support our skin’s natural healing function that happens while we sleep. I fell head over heels in love with the original Radiance Boost mist, so I could not wait to get my hands on the new Beauty Sleep version.
It has one impressive ingredient deck, but here is just some of the goodness you should know about: Firstly, all of Amly Botanical’s mists are made with silver-rich water originating from a wild flower meadow in England. That’s incredible in and of itself! Silver is known for its antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits. The star ingredient in Beauty Sleep is Snow Algae which happens to grow on glaciers and snow. When applied to living cells, studies have shown that snow algae extends their longevity and revitalizes skin. It also strengthens the skin barrier and preserves collagen. In this mist you’ll also find: aloe, neroli flower water, geranium flower water, lavender flower water, frankincense oil, roman chamomile oil, valerian root oil, ylang ylang oil, clary sage, hops, green tea, passion flower, quartz powder, and many more.
What I love most about this mist (and this goes for the Radiance Boost version as well) is its hydrating benefits combined with the most beautiful floral scent I have ever smelled. Normally, I would just like a mist for its basic utility of hydrating my skin, but after experiencing Amly’s mists I really underestimated how much I would come to appreciate aromatherapy. It’s hard to nail down Beauty Sleep’s exact scent, but I believe it’s a very sweet and slightly musky smelling combination of neroli, lavender, and geranium.
An important quality to those of us who love a good mist: You’ll be pleased to know that the mister on this bottle produces a fine mist. It’s lovely!
Retail value: $70
Both products in February’s box knocked me off of my feet this month and I say this with no exaggeration. It’s hard to translate my love and excitement into text, but I try! For the reasons above this box is easily in my top 3 favorites from Boxwalla beauty (the other Amly mist from April’s box is in my top 3 as well, if you’re wondering!). With an amazing value to boot, I highly recommend to grab a box and try these products for yourself.
Bad news, but good news too… Subscriptions are closed, but one-time February boxes are still available. These are $59.95 – just $10 more than the price you’d pay for subscription and the cost is still well below the box’s entire retail value. These are subscription-free, so after your one time charge of $59.95, you won’t have to worry about cancelling. (US shipping is FREE, Canada shipping is $11.95, and depending on where you live in the world, international shipping will be $18.95.)
More great news, subscriptions for the April box are now open! @theboxwalla on Instagram is already dropping hints so be sure to follow their feed for looks into the next box which is featuring beloved Twelve Beauty. Subscribe and reserve your box for $49.95 before March 20th.
