ESTHORIABOX’s Beauty Box for March has launched and it’s featuring makeup goodies from natural-glam beauty brand Nu Evolution Cosmetics! This box is landing just in time for Spring if you’ve been looking for an excuse to add fresh colors to your makeup collection.
ESTHORIABOX is a Canadian-based subscription service platform that curates green beauty boxes with a focus on luxury, high-performance, high-quality natural beauty. Boxes alternate between cosmetics, skincare, hair care, and body care, and typically contain 2-3 full size products. Their beauty boxes are bi-monthly (you will receive your box every other month) and ring in at $69 every 2 months, usually with each box valuing $100+. Also, subscribers get 20% off every day in the beauty shop!
The March Beauty Box* is featuring Nu Evolution Cosmetics – a cosmetic brand that creates fashionably-glam makeup for the beauty junkie (without the junk!). In this box, subscribers will receive: the Nu Evolution mascara in black, a pressed powder eye shadow, and a lipstick. Subscribers get to pick their choice color of eye shadow and lipstick and new subscribers will receive a deluxe travel-size of Canadian brand Corpa Flora’s Cleansing Oil! More details on this will be at the bottom of this post.

Nu Evolution Cosmetics Eye Shadow
The clean beauty market has done an excellent job at formulating pressed powder eye shadows that rival the performance of their conventional counterparts (all without synthetics and silicones, to boot) and Nu Evolution’s eye shadows are no exception. This pressed eye shadow is pigmented, soft (but not too soft or crumbly), never chalky, and it’s long-lasting. ESTHORIABOX kindly chose my eye shadow shade in Chiffon, which is a classic matte beige that makes a great base or a flesh-toned one wash of color. Chiffon is right up my alley of neutrals and nudes and this one enters the ranks of my most favorite eyeshadow shades! Nu Evolution carries a great range of eye shadow shades, so there should be something for every one in this collection. Pair Chiffon with a lippie that delivers a pop of color for a fresh Spring look!

Nu Evolution cosmetics Mascara
Some of us (especially in the green beauty world) are on the never-ending hunt for the perfect mascara, but I’m happy to report on one that delivers!
When it comes to mascara, my biggest issues are smudging on the lower eyes, especially on one eye that has a few lashes that don’t cooperate at all, and flaking if the formula is dry. I also look for volume, but one that will not clump to give said volume. I’m excited Nu Evolution’s Mascara ticks all the boxes (with a certain precaution in place against smudging): it gives great volume, it doesn’t flake, and as long as I curl my eyelashes and apply setting powder in the lower eye area and on the under side of my left eye’s lashes, it won’t smudge! As previously mentioned, my left eye is prone to smudging with a particular few lashes that like to point straight down, so those are two setting powder tricks that help to prevent smudging. This formula has the optimal consistency in that it’s not too wet nor dry. The wand is fairly large and fluffy and I find that it coats my lashes well which plays a large part in giving the volume that it does. I don’t wear mascara on my lower eyelashes so I can’t comment on how it performs there, but I feel these points are indicators as to how well it will perform in that area. I’m happy to add this one to my list of clean mascaras that work!

Nu Evolution Cosmetics Lipstick
So, I’m not actually a lipstick wearer (I feel that natural and sheer best suits my complexion and lip shape), but for you, my readers, I’m happy to confine myself to my house to test the performance of this beautiful shade. FOR SCIENCE!
ESTHORIABOX sent me the shade Allure, which is the perfect, peachy-pink nude with a creamy finish. This lipstick is richly-pigmented, non-drying, and wears rather comfortably to my surprise! With lips prepped, I find that it doesn’t feather or “cling” to the more dry spots on my lips. It’s impossible for me to keep any lip product on for an extended period of time so I can’t comment extensively on wear-time or lastability, but if the other areas are of any indication on its performance I can’t see these not lasting well! Even as a non-lipstick wearer like myself, I think the lipstick junkies out there will truly love these from Nu Evolution!
