Now, onto the mask goodness…

Bright & Easy 3-Minute Flash Mask

What it is — A gentle, but very effective exfoliating enzyme mask that evens skin texture, clarifies and brightens dull skin, boosts firmness and elasticity, and helps to maintain clear pores. My photos don’t do this mask justice – it’s a slightly off-green/blue gel with a fun bouncy texture. When Ursa Major says its scent will knock you off your socks, I have to agree! It’s described to have an aroma of a tropical blend including pineapple, coffee, and orange, but my nose detects a really fresh cucumber scent. Either way your nose decides to go, I love its refreshing spa scent!

A quick note on the ingredients: Many of you will notice alcohol listed as the third ingredient and might be potentially turned off due to its inclusion. Alcohol is added to many plant-based products to allow emulsification of ingredients and sometimes it is used as a preservative. As someone who is usually apprehensive about alcohol being near the top of an ingredients list, I assure you that this mask is not drying whatsoever (it’s actually quite hydrating, I will expound below) and it has no alcohol scent. Rest assured that the alcohol shouldn’t be an issue for those of you who normally like to avoid it!

My Experience

The great thing about this being a quick and gentle mask is that it can be used more often throughout the week. I like to use this mask at night about two times a week, but I believe it could be used every day or every other day if it’s to be used as your prime face exfoliant. When masking with the Bright & Easy I don’t time myself but I try to estimate when it’s been on for at least a good 5 minutes. My skin seems to accumulate a lot of excess dead skin cells so I need all the help that I can get!

As I mentioned in a previous paragraph, I love that this mask doesn’t dry down to a tight film-y layer. Instead, it stays moist on the skin and feels wonderfully hydrating leaving my skin bouncy and plump afterward.

But onto it’s real purpose, how well does it exfoliate? For what amounts to a quick mask treatment, this stuff really does even out my skin texture leaving it smooth and bright. As someone who deals with texture, I know what dull skin looks like and I appreciate any product that has the ability to brighten things up! For comparison, it works quite similarly to the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, but this one has a more pleasurable user experience because of how comfortable it feels and how fresh it smells. It’s also more affordable!

I highly recommend to give this mask a shot if you’re in search for a gentle exfoliator and especially if you’re a lover of enzyme treatments! Want to win a jar of your very own? Check out my Instagram post for entry details on our giveaway! It ends September 1st 11PM CT – don’t miss out! Giveaway is now closed.
