• my review on @munskincare’s Protect + Revive • my review on @munskincare’s Protect + Revive Moisturizer is up on the blog! I’ve had nearly 2 months of daily and nightly usage with P+R and it’s safe to say this is one solid, trusty and reliable moisturizer especially for my dehydrated skin type.

Check out the link in my bio for more information and as always, my affiliate discount code GBM15 saves 15% on orders at MŪN ✨
• how are you all liking the @niniorganics HALO • how are you all liking the @niniorganics HALO cleansing elixir sample in your February @theboxwalla beauty boxes? I could have used my sample up *like that* but I’ve been savoring it slowly because I can’t get enough of the blue tansy! ☺️

HALO is a proper, non-emulsifying daily cleansing oil with a pretty minimalist ingredient deck consisting of organic cold-pressed passion fruit seed oil and organic cold-pressed jojoba oil, both of which are lightweight and known to help regulate oil production. Passion fruit seed oil is high in linoleic acid, so it’s known to be a friendly oil to acneic skin types. Blue tansy + lavender provide the scent for this cleansing elixir, with the former standing out the most while lavender adds a little bit more zest to it. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a fan of lavender, but it’s hidden in this formula fairly well and only boosts the scent in a positive way.

While this is a lightweight formula everything about it is SO juicy, from the consistency, to the scent and gorg color of the oil. I’m not currently in need of another cleansing oil but she’s going on the wishlist for sure. 🖐
• my review on @theboxwalla’s February Beauty • my review on @theboxwalla’s February Beauty Box is now up on the blog 🖐 Subscriptions for this one are actually still open until tomorrow night, so there’s a little time to snag a box if you weren’t already signed up!

February’s box featured the plant magic of British-brand @niniorganics including a 5ml travel size of their Halo Cleansing Elixir, a full size Rain Hydrating Essence, and full size Crimson Beauty Face Serum. The total retail value on this one is $155, but the box rings in at just $49.95 so the savings are awesome as they always are with Boxwalla’s subscription service.

More details + my experiences with these three beauties are in the blog post and you can find an affiliate shopping link for the box via the link in my bio! April subscriptions, a limited edition box and Boxwalla’s new store and website are all launching soon so stay tuned for these exciting updates ☺️
• I was having a good makeup day today and I’l • I was having a good makeup day today and I’ll say that one positive thing about this arctic air blast thing is that I don’t need setting powder when it’s this cold and my makeup truly looks better without it! 😁

My complexion is looking alive with much thanks to the @kosas Papaya 1972 (high intensity) palette that was so kindly gifted to me amongst a haul of other goodies from dear @30goinggreen ✨ I was a little bit intimidated by it but I feel it works out well for my skin tone! Needless to say that the freezing cold is also making my skin flush lol.

Other makeup details:
• base: @glossier skin tint + stretch concealer + @bareminerals BAREPRO concealer
• highlight: @silknaturals Limelight cream highlighter
• brows: @essencemakeup clear brow gel
• eyeliner: @burtsbees gray pencil (I’ve been using this with no eyeshadow lately and it’s a nice way to wake my eyes up)
• mascara: Maybelline Colossal
• lipgloss: e.l.f. Lip Lacquer in ‘fantasy’
• in keeping up with re-visiting some loved prod • in keeping up with re-visiting some loved products in my skincare collection, I wanted to talk a bit about @paiskincare’s Instant Kalmer serum.

This serum used to go by the name Instant Calm Redness Serum, but I believe the ingredients haven’t changed despite the name change.

Instant Kalmer is a lightweight emulsion formulated to calm and soothe skin that is red, reactive, inflamed and stressed. Ceramides are included to balance and strengthen the skin’s barrier (helping it to become more resilient) while oat kernel and sea aster extract help to calm and reduce redness. You’ll also find magnolia berry extract in this formula, which provides antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.

I’m amazed by products that produce immediate results and that’s exactly what this serum does any time I have a reaction or break out that needs calming down. I don’t really experience reactions on my face, but often on my neck I’ll have these hive-like bumps that pop up. I always treat them with this serum and it legitimately provides immediate relief, helping to calm it and stop the itching.

At the moment I have a small breakout happening on my chin and after applying this serum on it I’m happy to see it looking calmer with the redness reduced.

The only negative is that this serum isn’t particularly hydrating, so you’ll want to layer it with an additional hydrator of some kind (I like to use an essence so I avoid applying more serums!)

What do you guys like from the Pai skincare range? I’ve been on the hunt for a new cleansing oil and was considering buying their Light Work cleanser, but I’m faced with so many options I don’t know what to do! 😅👀
• joining in the #texturetuesday fun with the ma • joining in the #texturetuesday fun with the magical @siam_seas Skin Revolution Mask, a resurfacing facial treatment made with a powerhouse blend of spices, biodynamic herbs and rice enzymes.

There’s a LOT of good stuff in this mask including (but not limited to) black rice, mung bean, marshmallow, royal jelly, gypsum (I love this ingredient in their SAI serum), thanaka (also love), pine pollen, nutmeg, Chinese ginseng, turmeric, ashwagandha, coriander seed, neroli, immortelle and EVEN more!

This potent blend is formulated to detoxify + deep cleanse the pores, removing debris and releasing congestion to reveal a more clear and illuminated complexion. The included spices help to stimulate cells and blood flow, which aids in circulation and better absorption of nutrients. It also helps to activate the skin’s collagen production, improving skin texture and tone for a more youthful appearance.

This mask is a powerful and potent blend so it’s something I use on an occasional treatment basis. It really does transform and renew - after masking with this my complexion is beyond brightened and my pores appear more clear, fine, and tightened. It physically exfoliates in addition to the other benefits I mentioned, so I take care to avoid over-scrubbing it while applying and rinsing and I like to customize it by adding further moisture, such as their BeCalm serum or any other oil blend would do as well.

I believe this mask is in the process of being added to their permanent line so it’s not currently available on the site, but fingers crossed it will be soon!

What do you guys love from the Siam Seas collection? I’m so fond of their Kwam Rak body serum, SAI clear skin serum, and the Twilight BeCalm serum. ✨
• my failed attempt at capturing the @leahlanisk • my failed attempt at capturing the @leahlaniskincare Honey Love scrub as a freshly scooped ice cream sample 😅 it turns out that the sun melts honey and oils real quick!

Leahlani’s Honey Love is weekly exfoliating microdermabrasion treatment, designed to improve skin’s texture and combat breakouts. It’s made in a base of raw Hawaiian honey and exfoliates via spherical corundum crystals, toning clays, and AHA-rich hibiscus extract.

Oil/balm cleansing takes care of my daily gentle exfoliation so I don’t need to use this treatment weekly, but occasionally I see a build up occurring on my skin and that’s when I like to break this scrub out. It also makes for a nice mask and can be used as a cleanser.

Have you guys tried Honey Love? 🍯

Also, today marks my 5 year blog anniversary! Thank you all SO much for following along and supporting me throughout the years. Although my actual blog posts are so few and far between, I don’t have plans to stop posting any time soon. I actually just don’t purchase/acquire as many products as I used to, hence less to post about these days. For anyone else who started a blog or YT channel, did you also go hog crazy on the purchases? I used to test a lot of random body care products! 😅
• I’m using (and sharing) a number of new-to-m • I’m using (and sharing) a number of new-to-me products lately and it has me thinking about how I’m not great at re-visiting the not so new products in my collection - I don’t share enough of the good stuff that I already love!

@theboxwalla’s February box is a hot topic at the moment and it had me thinking about last February’s box that featured @votarylondon for the first time. That particular box featured their Super Seed Facial Oil and face cream to match, a box well-beloved by me! I still have and love the face cream but it’s been too light for me since the Fall, and I think it might be on the outs because of the changing scent. And then August’s box introduced us to another super seed relative - the Super Seed Serum which is a pillowy cloud cream formulated to soothe sensitive and reactive skin types.

The super seed products visually don’t scream “wow” because they aren’t formulated for sensory experiences, but rather they’re a colorless and scentless safe haven for those who tend to experience reactions and sensitivities to common triggers. While my skin type doesn’t fall under that category, I still have a deep appreciation for products like these because at my baseline I just want comfort and soothing skincare - the bells and whistles come second.

These two are a perfect paring, morning or night and combined with any face mist or moisturizer to complete a routine. The serum, made with broccoli seed and peptides among more, provides light hydration bound by its soothing, cooling creaminess while the oil provides light moisture, a blend of 22 seed oils that were selected to soothe and nourish skin.

I reached for this serum more often during warm weather for soothing hot red skin, but its thicker consistency is a real comfort during cold weather too. I make sure to apply a watery hydrator beforehand and I always follow it with an oil or balm, then sealed in with moisturizer.

Is anyone else a major fan of Votary’s Super Seed line? ✨
