Frangipani Fables & Black Rice Tales: February Boxwalla Beauty

Today I’m thrilled to finally share my thoughts on Boxwalla’s February Beauty Box* that featured a Boxwalla-familiar brand, Siam Seas!

Themed “Frangipani Fables & Black Rice Tales“, Boxwalla and Siam Seas invite you to ‘listen’ to these fables and tables as whispered to you by these two new launches from the brand: Sai Clear Skin Serum ($65 retail value) and Kwam Rak Radiance of Love Body Serum ($90 retail value). The ‘Frangipani’ component of the theme comes from the scent of Kwam Rak which includes a plumeria absolute that is combined with jasmine sambac to create something… intoxicating, to put it lightly. The ‘Black Rice’ component comes from the black rice water that is used in the base of the Sai facial serum. Both featured products are full-sized.

Subscriptions have since closed, but this box is still available right now as a one-time box at a cost of $74.95 (box is valued at $155!)

Forest Bathing: December Boxwalla Beauty Review

Happy News Years eve friends!  My apologies for a very belated blog post – I meant to have this review up in early December while subscriptions for these products were still open! I had some issues with the blog and I’ll leave it with this – don’t let your SSL certificates expire unless you want to drive away your traffic. I have more fun blog posts coming up including my review on Blissoma’s new sunscreen and an empties post!

Today I’m here and bursting to share with you my review on Boxwalla’s December Beauty Box*! Although subscriptions have since closed, this box is actually still available on their site as a one-time purchase. February subs are now open as well, so I will be including all necessary links at the bottom of this post!

The Intrepid Pattern of Plants: October Boxwalla Beauty Review

The October Boxwalla beauty box featuring African Botanics Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum.

Considered a “sequel” of sorts to the August box, the October beauty box from Boxwalla is double featuring African Botanics! The last box featured their anti-aging Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil and this month’s box includes a similarly themed serum that is said to work and layer well with their facial oil. Subscriptions have since closed, but if you missed out you’ll be happy to know that one-time boxes are still available to purchase while supplies last!

Themed “The Intrepid Pattern of Plants“, the Boxwalla October Beauty Box* is showcasing African Botanics Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum, a night-time aloe-based hydrating serum that brightens, firms, plumps, and rejuvenates the complexion. It’s specifically an anti-aging serum, replete with antioxidants, peptides, retinol, and a bounty of other skin-loving extracts. The star of this show is the Resurrection plant extract which is known for its regenerative and healing properties.

LEAN ON ME: August Boxwalla Beauty ft. African Botanics

Tell me a story under a Marula tree
Tell me a story of luxury.

Flowers float in an African breeze,
When they touch your face, the worries cease.

Tell me a story under a Baobab tree
Tell me the story of eternity..

Light as a feather, filled like the sea
With wisdom from future, and history.

Tell me a story of nature, of science,
Tell me a story of both combined.

Slowly I sip from this salubrious story
Softly it whispers, ‘Lean on me’.

As beautifully written above by Lavanya of Boxwalla foundry, her poem is an ode to the theme of Boxwalla’s August beauty box which happens to be including the efficacious African Botanics! This month, the beauty box is showcasing their Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil*, a product one can truly lean on thanks to its multi-correcting powerhouse of ingredients including marula oil, vitamin C, retinol, essential fatty acids, coQ10, and more.

MOSSAIC: June Boxwalla Beauty Review

Today, I’m leaping-out-of-my-seat excited to share the “MOSSAIC” Boxwalla Beauty Box featuring MOSS Skincare that releases this June. MOSS (Modern Organic Sacred Skincare) is the brain child of Celestyna Higgins, an astrophysicist (with fashion and yoga also in her background) who brings logic and mindfulness to the skincare table, specifically with the aim of treating acne and aging skins. Her products include a mosaic of ingredients combining the best of nature with safe and scientifically backed actives to treat a mosaic of skin issues. I’ve previously reviewed MOSS’s sister line Ambar, so I was somewhat familiar with the brand before trying this box.

The June Beauty Box* (which has a whopping $215 value!) is showcasing TWO full-size MOSS products: Beurre Céleste Honey-Infused Rinsable Cleansing Balm and Illumina, their exfoliating Vitamin C treatment serum. This box rings in at $49.95, but subscriptions are closing soon, so now is the time to subscribe!

Chronicles of a Plant Lab: April Boxwalla Beauty Review

I’ll go ahead and spoil this whole review by saying that this box is one of the best ones yet curated by Boxwalla. I know it’s a cliche statement (and every blogger is most likely using this same phrase, albeit TRUE!), but I swear that each box keeps getting better and better with their selection of plant-based skincare. This one marries everything that I appreciate in a skincare product: science backed ingredients with clinical effectiveness, beneficial herbs, sleek and sturdy packaging, and a founder that strives to bring only the best to their customers. This April, Boxwalla reunites us with Twelve Beauty.
