• going over their two day-to-night eyeshadow palettes (one is cool and the other is warm), dual ended mascara, concealer, angled brow pencil, and plumping lip gloss. I also shared two eye looks using each palette.

These three beauts are what I’ve been loving lately for base/foundation makeup. I’ve been foregoing mineral powder for a glowing light coverage look and I’m so happy with the way my makeup has been looking.

• @glossier skin tint (in G11) is a water based tint best applied with fingers for sheer to light coverage. I apply 2-3 drops on each section of my face, focusing the application more towards the center of my face.
• For concealer I’ve been switching up between Glossier, PYT Beauty, and this cream foundation from The All Natural Face (in shade Porcelain Kissed By Honey, for fairly light skin tones). I find myself opting for this TANF one most often because its such a nice cream and it’s not too dewy or too dry, it’s right in the middle and gives the right amount of coverage. I bought this in a 10g pot but they shipped it to me in two smaller 5g pots as you see here. I plop this on under my eyes, nose, and use it for extra coverage on my forehead and around the nose area.
• I set everything with my sheer @silknaturals Perfecting Powder setting powder which has mica, silica, and silk powder (they have a vegan version too) and it sets so so perfectly — it’s all in the name! It mattifies and blurs just enough without making things look too stark matte or dry and leaves skin with a natural finish. It lasts well too without much need for touching up.

I tend to purchase products individually rather in hauls so I never know how to group and share them on the blog, so I guess this is an odd way of solving that problem!

• The Curious Comfort of Skincare-like Things • My review on @theboxwalla’s August Beauty Box is on the blog so check out the link in my bio to read! 🖐 This one is sold out, but I have really been enjoying these products and would recommend anyone to check these out individually.

In particular I have been enjoying the @lovinahskincare Dragon’s Blood cleansing oil which includes double encapsulated salicylic acid - it delivers a slow release onto the skin and stays for hours after. I love SA and its pore cleansing benefits! This one gets rid of the “grits” as well, possibly months worth that have been hiding in my pores.

I also love the @votarylondon Super Seed Serum which has superseded my first impressions of it. It really does do what it claims to do, which is that it plumps and hydrates to help the outer barrier become more resilient and strong. I love it for both AM and PM and find it fits so well in any routine because it doesn’t “add” in the way of piling on more products, it just feeds and calms the skin.

Honored to be a #betabirdie 🐥 for @skinowl’s yet to be released cleanser! Cleansing is my favorite step of any skincare routine so when they posted in their Stories that they were looking for beta testers I had to volunteer myself.

I’ve been testing it for just over one week now and I wanted to share my thoughts and experience with it so far. This runny gel cleanser is kind of a hybrid between a foaming and hydrating gel cleanser - it doesn’t really foam but rather it generates a micro-lather, or the smallest suds, when you’re massaging it into wet skin. For me it fits my idea of the most ideal cleanser — one that’s gentle and non-stripping for mornings, but still powerful enough to be used as a second cleanse in the PM that lifts up the day and oily residue. The micro-suds it produces are just enough to clean up the yuck, but somehow doesn’t strip the skin in the process and leaves it looking and feeling fresh and bright.

There’s something about this cleanser that has an effervescent quality and it really brightens up my mornings! The neroli scent and its bubbly champagne-ness that comes out when the bottle is shaken (or even when just pumping it out into your hand) makes it such a fun and fresh cleanser. So far I’ll say that I’m highly likely to want to repurchase it in the future when it launches and I’m excited to see what the final product reveal will be like. What would you guys think of a SkinOwl cleanser?!

✨ @silknaturals is where it’s at for affordable cream highlighters! This is Limelight (it’s built up and not blended out here FYI) which is your more neutral champagne shade (like Living Luminizer but with more pow) and they have two more highlighters with golden and pink undertones. Only $4.50 at the SN store 🖐
